Welcome to Durga Bhakti. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Durga Bhakti mobile application ("App," "Service," or "Application") developed and operated by Samroid Apps ("we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the Durga Bhakti app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Application.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Durga Bhakti, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the Application, including without limitation users who are browsers, devotees, and contributors of content.
3. Description of Service
Durga Bhakti is a free devotional mobile application that provides:
- Access to sacred Durga prayers and hymns
- Translations and transliterations of prayers
- Meanings and interpretations of devotional texts
- Reading counters and progress tracking
- Customizable themes and font sizes
- Multi-language support (Hindi, English, and others)
- Offline access to prayer content
- Notification reminders for daily prayers
- The complete Shri Durga Saptashati in its original Sanskrit text, arranged in the traditional order of recitation
- A Japa Counter, including chanting with audio you record or add yourself
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.
4. User Eligibility
The Application is intended for users of all ages. If you are under the age of 13, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use this Application. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- You will use the App in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws
- All information you provide is accurate and current
5. License and Usage Rights
5.1 Limited License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Durga Bhakti application on your personal mobile device solely for your personal, non-commercial devotional purposes.
5.2 Usage Restrictions
You agree NOT to:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Application
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the App for any illegal, unauthorized, or commercial purposes
- Create derivative works based on the Application
- Use automated systems or software to extract data from the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
- Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 App Content
All content, features, and functionality of the Durga Bhakti application, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, translations, and software, are the exclusive property of Samroid Apps or its licensors and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Sacred Texts
The prayers, hymns, and devotional texts included in the Application are based on traditional religious scriptures and are in the public domain. Our translations, transliterations, and interpretations are our original work or licensed content.
6.3 Trademarks
The Durga Bhakti name, logo, and all related product and service names are trademarks or registered trademarks of Samroid Apps. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.
7. Free Service
Durga Bhakti is provided as a completely free service with no hidden costs, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. We do not require any payment information from users. The Application is supported by our commitment to promoting devotional practices and spiritual well-being.
8. User Conduct
As a user of Durga Bhakti, you agree to:
- Use the App respectfully and in accordance with its devotional purpose
- Not misuse or abuse the Application or its content
- Respect the religious and spiritual nature of the content
- Not use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws
- Not upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
- Not collect or harvest personal information of other users
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information in connection with your use of the Application is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
10. User-Generated Content
If the App allows you to submit feedback, comments, or other content ("User Content"), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content for the purpose of operating and improving the Application. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to submit such content.
Audio you record or add in the Japa Counter stays on your device and is not submitted to us, so the licence above does not apply to it. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any audio file you add to the App.

The Application may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as app stores or social media platforms) that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by your use of such third-party services.
12. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
12.1 "As Is" and "As Available" Basis
The Durga Bhakti application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
12.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy in our translations and interpretations of sacred texts, we do not guarantee that the content is complete, accurate, reliable, current, or error-free. The spiritual and religious content is provided for devotional purposes and should not be considered as professional religious advice.
12.3 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Samroid Apps, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the Application
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Application
- Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or similar that may be transmitted through the App
- Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred from use of content
12.4 Maximum Liability
In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the past twelve months, or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is less.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Samroid Apps and its licensors, employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of and access to the Application
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Any harmful or unlawful content you submit through the App
14. Updates and Modifications
14.1 App Updates
We may from time to time provide updates, enhancements, or modifications to the Application. These updates may be automatically downloaded and installed on your device. You consent to such automatic updates and agree that these Terms will apply to all updates.
14.2 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms in the Application
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
- Providing in-app notifications or email notices (when applicable)
Your continued use of the Application after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Termination
15.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it from your device. You may also delete your data through the app settings or by contacting us.
15.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Application at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, or conduct that we deem harmful to the App or other users.
15.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Application will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
16. Religious and Spiritual Disclaimer
Durga Bhakti is a devotional application designed to facilitate spiritual practices. The prayers, hymns, and religious content are provided for devotional purposes only. We do not claim religious authority or provide professional spiritual counseling. For specific religious guidance, please consult with qualified religious scholars or spiritual advisors in your tradition.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in India, and you hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in such courts.
18. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or the Application, you agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of India.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the validity, legality, and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected or impaired. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Samroid Apps regarding your use of the Durga Bhakti application and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, or representations, written or oral.
21. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Samroid Apps.
22. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction.
